This week I'm touching on a sensitive subject. The News.
I have had a lot of conversations with people in recent weeks where they are struggling with news from around the world, and also struggling with the feelings of guilt and selfishness that they are not engaging with it.
Whilst unfortunately, not everyone is lucky enough to be able to just switch off to the news, today I tackle why it is OK if you are and why it is ok to let go of feelings of guilt and selfishness associated with doing so.

I'm feeling slightly more vulnerable than normal sharing this weeks podcast with you. I had a panic attack earlier in the week. However, unlike previous times that I have felt like this I was able to label what was going on and do something about it.
This has come with lots of meditation practise. Whilst daily I can notice how I am feeling and turn it around, this was the first time I have really really been present with myself in a state of such heightened emotions.
So join me as I share what this feels like for me, how I noticed and what I did about it as well as why this has further strengthened to me why what I teach to children and those that support them is so important.

Following on from talking about self compassion, this week I'm talking about self care. Specifically, how we as parents are trying to create a focus on self care when the kids are at home.
So have a listen, see what you think, and let me know if you have tried anything similar!

This week I'm going a bit deeper in to the self compassion that I have had to practise over the past few weeks. The triggers of anxiety, stress and overwhelm that I have been feeling and the way in which I have had to nurture my inner 'little Lucie' to give myself permission to recoup and reconnect.

This week I'm delving in to the way in which clutter and mess can heighten anxiety, stress and inhibit relaxation. In a house with 3 little ones, a dog who sheds continuously and two not so perfect adults, this is a definite challenge here!
In the podcast I refer to podcasts from Cass from ClutterBug and Dana from A Slob Comes Clean. You can find links to their podcasts below!

This week the kids have gone back to school! We have had Excitement from Little Man for his first day, Anxiety from Little Miss with starting Year 1, and I am not ashamed to admit upset from me for no longer having them home!
Whilst it has been a tricky build up, as a family we have managed it in many different ways, and they have paid off. From ongoing conversations over the weeks, to mental anchors, to allowing plenty of time to feel and process emotions that first morning.
Join me as I share our journey to two kids at school and getting that routine back!
If you want to find out more about how to help your child through mindfulness and meditation don't forget to sign up for the Helping Children with Mindfulness course which starts the week of the 11th September 2023.

It has been a summer of calm so far. I've said it on social media and I say it again here.
However, what I have not been able to get across is just how the style of meditation I teach has contributed to that. Today I explain how the Happy Little Futures style of meditation is not about sitting down and meditating. It is not about making specific time for meditation it is about engaging with ourselves and our children on a level we may not have previously. It is about encompassing who we are and who our child is, in order to live more presently and together build a mental health toolkit to help increase resilience, reconnect, and relax.
So grab yourself a cuppa and buckle up!

I have unlocked a new parenting level!
It's not pretty, it's not fun, and it's one that I think all parents hope they don't unlock! However, with 3 kids I think it was inevitable at some point!
If you have a sensitive stomach, think twice about whether you listen to this one!
Also chatting about the summer holidays, end of term anxiety, and turning a school report into a learning moment to upgrade and personalise our everyday mindfulness and meditation moments.

In this episode I briefly tell you all about the things that I have been doing as a meditation coach over the past few weeks.
Recap on the importance of meditation and tell you how it can impact your daily life.
And I challenge you to take a breath. Just one single breath. Whenever you find yourself thinking 'I should meditate' or 'I should have meditated' Meditate with that one breath in that moment.

Hi, I'm Lucie, a Family Meditation Coach, and mum to 3 and a dog. Follow me and my family's journey to becoming a more mindful family.
Using a variety of meditation and mindfulness techniques I have been helping each member of our family to create their own mental health toolkit since Covid-19 took hold in 2020.
Now, a few years later the full effects of this are starting to show and it has brought our family closer, and allowed me to reconnect with myself more fully for the first time since becoming a parent.
